Hi, I have started this new thread in hopes of it being responed to by you. I have a problem that I am Not happy about regarding some of the mods on the RCU forum. Apprantly Some mods feel it is OK to let other vistors insult me and others here. Some of these so called mods are hippocrits by "do as I say... not as I do"
I have made some valid fact based comments only to have ONLY mine deleted and yet other insulting comments directed at me left on. I visit here to give "factual" information where I can and yet others can post there factless opinons with out problem. I am making an assumpsion here... I believe more care needs to be taken when leting some people moderate, more so in the car department because if the person/mod does not like or understand ALL! products he/she could unfairly be bias toward other products and then could let FICTION RULE over FACT. Regarding personal digs, This should not happen on this family site, however as in life, if someone insults me personaly I will not hesitate to return the favor. AT 40, I feel that I am able to defend myself with out having to cry to the mods. More care needs to be taken when moding the rc car section because there are so MANY diffrent products on the market, If factless opinons rule then there no point for adults that know diffrent to post at RCU. I have put up with what I feel is unfair treatment here at rcu before but I do not want to deal with it any longer. one example in the past is a mod ("slodsm"? ) took a thread I started "my sport maxx killer" and locked it because he has a t maxx and favors this kit, he has also locked other threads by others which state there kit/kits can beat a t maxx. YET!, I have seen other posts in the past of guys stating the t maxx is better,faster stronger and these posts STAY! unlocked or untouched "My sportmaxx killer", This statment is FACT not fiction http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_16...tm.htm#1625568 My current beef with i8tweety is he lets one user make insulting commets about a product and its owners and does nothing, then when I try to put some FACT into the thread and REPLY/DEFEND myself he deletes my posts. Example from m/t forum ORIGINAL: i8tweety Your post was deleted because you failed to follow the rules DO NOT blatently insult fellow members of RCU Calling people "stupid" and a "cry baby" fall into this category. I DID NOT OUTRIGHT CALL ANYONE A "crybaby" or "stupid" but yet you feel its ok for some "SPECIAL" people here to insult me and what others and I own. NOW, to repete what I said before... but nicer, because I would not want to offend some of the great people here. ORIGINAL: popa71 What are the necessary precautions for a tranny tearing up three times within five tanks of fuel!!!!!! What are the necessary precautions against diffs that cant handle the power of the engine or weight of the truck with stock wheels. If you are talking about threadlocking screws, I did after the first tank where 4 screws fell out. But too me the screws were not a problem. The tranny and diffs are a flawed design. If an engine is not so great in a kit or a radio or something of that nature I dont consider it a bad kit. All ready to Run vehicle have something on them that will need upgrading. But when the design of the truck is flawed to where you cant it run it on flat pavement without breaking it.Its a bad kit. The conditions this truck was subjected too were of the lightest sort. Straight forward running on asphalt with no curbs bumps or jumps. Just trying to break it in properly. The Diffs and the tranny had to be rebuilt 8 times before the engine was completely broken in. That in my book is a POS popa, I do not believe you know what you are talking about, you say the diffs can't hold the power of a .15 engine let alone a .26 and yet there are people running twin engined DD's and TQ's on these kits. popa, I do not believe you know anything, you say there are no aftermarket parts and yet you can buy aftermarket gears, alumium a arms, diff parts and lots more. I truly feel sorry for the people that come to this RCU site only to be filled full of BS by someone that is ignorant about this kit. To DD and TQ owners EXTREME RC PARTS has after market parts and GREAT! info for these kits http://www.extremercparts.com/ HOME BOUND RC also has TWIN ENGINED KITS for both the DD and TQ http://www.home-bound1.com/ Now again popa, I feel since you continualy want to talk about POS kits, you should be INCLUDING the T maxx, this kit has FAR many more problems with durability and parts breakage with DIFFS and TRANNYS, AND SHOCKS, AND AXLES, AND SO ON!!!... I also know that many other kits on the market have had ther share of diff and/or trany or other problems like... HPI, OFNA, PRP,and don't forget TRAXXAS lol. FACT, I have many/most 8scale nitro kits on the market 30+, the DD is one of them, I favor no manufacturer, I do have favorites and the DD is one of them regardless of any issues, popa you have NEVER HELPED ANYONE on this RCU forum (do a search) that has posted questions about the DD/TQ, all you have ever posted is INSUTS which is (NOT HELP) to the people that have owned this kit. MR i8tweety, I will copy my posts for now on. There have also been other threads in the past where I have been called "gaytor" lol (my old user name "gator8") with out the mods doing anything about it. The bottom line is I feel unfairly treated. I am also a mod at NE (an adult rc site), so I have have my own thoughts of how to deal with people and I can understand why some people do not like "argumentitve posts" or VS posts, but it is normal and no diffrent from FORD VS CHEV VS DODGE, the rc car section will NOT change from this ESPECAILY! when "performance" is in question. Like it or not this is normal in ALL things with humans. BTW, I cannot use my e-mail right now (not working) and this is why I desided to post this here. |
