Have to hit back button twice
 

I have to hit my back button twice now to get out of a thread, and its starting to get annoying.
Why are the forums doing this now?

what OS and browser version are you using. I am on XP with IE 6 and cannot duplicate this. One click and I go back.

I am using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 2000 and I have the same problem.

on one computer, I am using mozilla with win 200 pro, and the other firefox with win 2000 pro.

It seems once I start viewing a thread, after about 5 seconds, it loads itself in again, so its there twice in my back button log.

sounds like this is isolated to firefox. not sure why this browser would exhibit this behaviour though? can you guys test with IE and see if it is in fact firefox only on your system

I don't use IE unless absolutely necessary but I did test with Netscape 7.2 and it does not exhibit the problem.

I have tested it with IE and experience the same "problem", hit back button twice to go back once .

I tried RCU with IE 6.0 using Win XP Pro. Going back only takes 1 click as opposed to taking 2 clicks with FireFox with XP Pro.

Ditto the above, no prob with XP, or XP Pro here with me..only when Firefox browser is used.

Ok, I do not get this problem with IE. But I refuse to use IE as it is an inferer browser, and lot less secure.
My Mozilla did not always do this, it started about a month ago.
Some how the page is loading itself twice.

This version of firefox should have fixed many of the bugs from V1...not so

there is nothing loading twice on the page so something in firefox is misloading this page for some reason. I'll see if I can figure out what it might be

this is some weird issue with firefox browser. For those who have this bug do you have the absolute latest version of the firefox installed?

It does it with both firefox and mozilla browsers. I have the latest version of both.
It now seems to take longer for the page to load twice now. It seems to be like 30sec later that the page loads itself again.
I don't have this problem with any other web site.

Here is another clue to help you. When I access this thread through my automated e-mail reply notification, it does not load itself twice. Only when I go through the forum main listing.

It happens after about 45 seconds of viewing the thread, I just timed it. It happens very quickly, and if I didn't have to hit the back button twice, I would have never noticed it loading again.
Nothing appears to change on the page when it loads itself again.
