Can't upload pics, error message--?
 

Hi folks, I've tried using the "Click here to upload" procedure and I keep getting this message:

"There was an error saving the file to disk."

I contacted RCU and someone suggested my files were too big. I tried reducing them to 100 KB and still no luck. I wrote back but did not get another reply.

Anyone have an idea of what might be wrong?

Thanks for replying, but no luck. I've tried it on three different days over the past week. I made the picure even smaller-- 500 x 320 pixels, and it still wouldn't work, just now.

I don't know what you mean by using reply and quote. I was trying to start a new thread. I just used the "upload" button at the bottom and followed the instructions. Kept getting the error message.

Same problem here- I have never been able to upload pics to the forums. I have no problems uploading pics for the marketplace ads though. I have AOL, MAC OS10.3. Please help me as it is very frustrating. THanks, Scott

Hi Marc, I forgot to mention that I used to be able to post pics on the old site, but since the changeover I have not been able to. I have heard the same complaint from a few other 3%ers. I really cant say for sure if the chang over was the issue as I changed from OS9.2 to 10.3 at about the same time as the new RCU rollout. Scott

I have nqrrowed the problem down a bit. It appears to be an issue with AOL browser/OS10.3. I downloaded M.S. Int Exp and used it to access RCU and the pics posted fine. Scott

There definitely seems to be a problem with Netscape.

I'm using a Mac w/ Internet Explorer (Which is a free download) and I have no problem.

ok. with it isolated hopefully we can fix the safari issue. I have both mac and pc here so can test.

I wasn't able to upload photos with Safari 1.2.4 and got the same error but I can with Netscape 7.2. I'm using OS X 10.3.8.

I can no longer upload pictures. I learned how a couple of weeks ago, but now I am getting an error message.

Yes. Upgrade to latest netscape version which should work. You can also try latest firefox browser or IE which work. The only known browser not working that we are troubleshooting is safari on mac. All latest Netscape, IE and firefox should work ok.
