netsacpe 7.2 problem
 

Recently upgraded my Netscape browser to 7.2 edition. After I bring up RCUniverse for example, it will work fine to lets say click on a thumbnail image as attached to some posting to expand it but after a few times, it will no longer work to do this or to click on some attached URL to bring up another web page also won't work???? Nothing happens by clicking on these attachments whereas I can continue to view other postings but again nothing will work?
If I switch to my Explorer browser in the same session, don't have this problem but prefer to use Netscape. All the 7.2 Netscape settings are default settings and didn't have this problem with older Netscape versions. Is there some configuration setting for Netscape 7.2 that should be changed???

check to make sure 7.2 browsers popups are not blocking the large image window from opening.

also make sure it just isn't hiding behind an active window instead of coming to the front.

let me know if either of these are the case. If not then clear all cache in netscape and close all browser windows and quit netscape. then reopen it up and see if it happens again.

report back with the results of this and I can troubleshoot further if necessary based on those answers

Marc, did all your suggestions including disabling the auto popup stopper supplied with the new Nestcape 7.2. Purged the Netscape cache, etc. No, the enlarged image isn't hidden behind the main RCU window, etc. When you click on a thumbnail in a posting, the hourglass comes up next to the cursor arrow and then nothing. I can tell that the computer sends a short burst back to RCU when one clicks on the image or attached URL but nothing comes back from RCU? Anymore ideas?

do you have any weird firewalls, popup blockers or zone alarm?

Do not use a firewall or zone alarm and as I indicated in my scond posting, I disabled the popup blocker supplied with Netscape 7.2???????????????

I am stumped. I have not heard other reports of this with netscape 7.2 and might suggest to uninstall 7.2 completely then reinstall...just a stab in the dark now.

Marc, Yep, had tried the uninstall and reinstall of Net 7.2 several times with same result. But, now find if I open Mozzila and let Mozzila control Netscape 7.2, the problem goes away. Now I can access RCU fully and everything works by indirectly using Net 7.2 through Mozzila if that makes sense! I just set Mozzila as my default browser instead of Net 7.2.
