RE: how to become a mod?

Many moderators are referred by other moderators because they were members who displayed characteristics we look for. Any member may submit their qualifications to me and may or may not be selected.

RE: how to become a mod?

If you don't mind me asking, what characteristics are those? Also, what qualifications are required and/or desirable?

The ideal candidate for RCU moderators should be 6'2" or taller, 220 - 250lbs with less than 6% Body Fat (See pic), an I.Q. of 145 or better, with a degree in Psychology, Mediation and Arbitration.

Present Nobel Peace Prize Candidacy, or former recipient is a plus.

If you don't have any of those qualities (Bubbagates comes to mind) Just spend a lot of time here at RCU and contribute in a positive way. It gets noticed. And even if it doesn't get noticed, in times where you may ask to be a mod, the first thing Nathan (Plane Inasne) will do is to check your posts to see what kind of member you are. If you're the kind of person who contributes to the good of RCU, your chances are good to be brought on board.

PS, Sorry Bubba, I just couldn't resist :D

LMAO! Well, I can't come even close to that! :D

Very few men can...that is why there are so few moderators. To become a community moderator, you have to send in a certificate to prove the you can bench press 300 pounds. :D

They lowered it to 300?

Of course, the benefits are worth all the trouble. A 2 weeks all-expense-paid stay at the RCU Luxury Condo in the Bahamas.

The Pool Girls alone are worth it

:D

All at once!?!?! How about 12oz. at a time? :D

Sorry, I've become really suspicious of "all-expense-paid" vacations after numerous deployments to the biggest beach in the world... ;):D

Mike - Where did you find that picture of Bill? Haw.

Be vary careful abut asking to be a mod. A year after I became one, they asked if I wanted to goto the RCU beach condo and I ended up spending an extended period of time getting shot at on a beach I wouldn't call paradise.

Have you seen some of the other work that Minn has done with Photoshop? It is absolutely amazing but touching up that picture of Bill to look like that has got to be his best work.

They use wording to make the vacation areas seem much more pleasant than they really are. For instance, a mountain resort is actually a pup tent in Cambodia, a ski resort is a quanset hut in Antarctica. :)

Did any of you have to quote Shakespeare's Hamlet over the phone to Plane Insane? I felt like that was taking things a little far but you do what you have to do to get a job.

Jeez Howard - You got off light.

I had to translate Bill's posts into language a non-mensa member could understand while jumping rope in front of Marc dressed in nothing but a unitard.

I think Mike has a photoshopped picture of that too. Makes you shudder, doesn't it?

Oh man, the visual made me make an appointment with my shrink, not that it will help much [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Something tells me Minn's wife had a lot to do with that pic. :D She probably hopes he looks like that when she's asleep. HAW

Oh man you guys are brutal :D
