Unable to search

When I try to use the search feature, after a second or two I get a error sound and a small pop-up message box with "Microsoft Internet Explorer" across the top that says nothing can be found. (This is with the search parameters set to the broadest range; all forums, subject and response, etc..)

I thought it was very strange that I get pop-up box from MS when doing a search on the RCU website!

Not being able to search is a major problem... there is too much information to sort through without an effective search feature.

Thanks for any help,
desmobob

Bob,

I saw the same problem and have reported it to the people that need to know. It may take some time but it will get fixed

Thanks for letting us know [sm=thumbup.gif]

Bubbagates,

Thanks for your quick action.

I consider RCU a TREMENDOUS stockpile of information for the R/C enthusiast, the likes of which is not found anywhere. A good search feature makes it indispensible! [8D]

Keep up the good work,
desmobob

Thanks Bob for the really kind words,

I actually discovered it about the time you posted the first message as I was in the YS Engine Support forum looking for some info but got sidetracked for the last couple of hours. You know how it is, new plane just calling out my name :D

I'll post back here when I hear something

Bob,

How many characters did you use?

Bob,

How many characters did you use?
Hmmm... don't know for sure. I believe the last search I tried was "OS 1.60".

Maybe that's the trouble; not enough characters? I just tried another search: "unionville hobbies," and it worked fine.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Unable to search

There is a character bug that requires more than 2 but they did take a look at it and maybe found somthing since I spoke to them.

RE: Unable to search

If using only 2 characters make sure you select as a phrase. or use advanced search and put in quotes. 2 characters alone seem to trip up the MS search engine.
