Icon question

I have noticed this since joining RCUniverse and haven’t been able to find the answer.
In the forums, what is the meaning of the icons in the small box to the left of the Topic column? Or where can I find that information?
Some are plain grey circles, some plain yellow circles, some have a page icon in them, and some flash.
Also, why are some topic titles written in Bold?

I ran into this posting searching for an answer to the same questions.

I see that no one ever answered.

I guess some things are meant to remain a mystery

For some reason, I can't unsubscribe to this 'report forum problems' thread. I keep getting it in my email. I've tried subscribing just so I can see the 'unsubscribe' option, but it ain't workin'. Any ideas? I don't want to unsubscribe to all forums, just this one. I guess they are still having problems with their server.

Also, it seems like my replies to posts seem to 'time out' and I have to copy - then go back a page, then hit reply again, paste it and quickly hit 'OK' or it will just sit there and do nothing. But then I guess you know that is still happening. Sdg
