Who is up for an Industry Code of Practice?

The UK CAA has given the industry a chance to self regulate by asking for an “Industry Code of Practice” This effort could have global ramifications that are beneficial to us as a community.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the open source effort http://www.rcapa.net/forums/showthre...?p=101#post101

RE: Who is up for an Industry Code of Practice?

Anyone who's personal fetish for UAV flight exceeds his respect for the safety of innocent life should be dropped right where he stands. Read this over and over to yourselves slowly as many times as needed for the truth to sink in.

You should not need to have special codes drawn up to enforce basic, common, human decency.

If your zeal for UAV flight is clouding your ability to see what I am talking about, then you should be removed from society. In this case you are no different than the drunk driver who thinks he's got everything under control. No innocent bystander should ever be put in jeopardy just so some sick, perverted geek can get his jollies flying his Robo-Plane beyond the confines of the safety of a clearly uninhabited area.

In the end, it wont be the combat flyers, the pylon racers, or the 3Ders who manage to get this sport shutdown, it will be the UAV GEEKS who end up getting RC flight banned.

Just keep it within the confines of the AMA safety code and you will be flying UAVs responsibly.
