I have an 8FG in which the elevator trim switch only provides down trim. Is there a way to clean the contacts or does the switch need to be replaced?

I just noticed that there is a flashing cursor display in the end point menu. Does this mean that I have somehow inhibited the T2 trim?

The switch should be replaced, however, sometimes contact cleaner can help for a while.

You cannot inhibit the trims, just turn the trim movement per click up or down. At the top of the page, the flashing tells you which side is active. The cursor should not blink, though.

Thanks. I guess I was referring to the active side when I referenced the flashing.


But, when I go to the T1-T4 set menu, the "mode" column does not appear.

You have to have a heli or glider model type with conditions active. Then you can set whether the trim settings are common to all conditions or local to each condition.
