Default Futaba 18SZ: Easy to delete your model by mistake

I'm liking my 18SZ. There is one thing that really bothers me though.

When you select a different model, the "Delete" button is right next to select. If you would touch the delete instead of select by mistake, the "Are you Sure" message is exactly the same. As you can imagine this is setting us up to delete a model by mistake. With the amount of programming it takes to get a model set up, this could be a big problem. We change models so often on our radios that it would be an easy mistake to make.

Is there any way it could be changed on the next update? Either move the delete function to a different place, or add another warning.

We can pass your suggestion on to Futaba, but the sequence is the same in almost all their transmitters that have similar screens. This is the first time someone's mentioned that it may be a problem.

It's not just me. It's very poor programming, and is almost laughable that they would do it that way. I think it's made much worse with the touch screen than on previous radios.

There are differences as well. On the 12fg is asks "Delete this Model Sure?" the 18SZ just says "Sure?"

On the 18mz the "new" button is between the Select and Delete button.

I haven't deleted a model in error yet, but I have to be very careful that I touch the correct button. Ask anyone who owns the radio, and they will complain about it. If they don't they will when they accidentally delete a model.
