14 SG Range Check
I had a 14SG that quit initializing into Range Check mode. Since it was a recent purchase I returned it to Tower Hobbies. They replaced the TX but the new one had same problem from the start. I cannot get it into range check mode. I had other Futaba users try it and they had same result. I did not return it this time as I had some Warbird meets to attend. Is there any known "quick fix" I can use to resolve this issue without sending the TX in for service? Its the middle of flying season and I don't want to miss out while waiting for the service center.

Hi - Not sure when you sent yours in, but this is not a known hardware issue. Seems to have started with V6.0 & V7.0 software. I searched around a bit and several people have said this method works:
What version software does your new one have?
Rather than touch just the center "RTN" button, one must cover the entire circular button including the "LNK", "SYS", etc portions.

I returned the TX in Nov. 2017. The replaced TX has Version 7 software. I was going to download the software, but the Futaba site only has Version 6.
