Default Sbs-01tas

UGH!!
I can't seem to get the TAS (Pitot) to show anything on my 18MZ... I just updated the software (2.7.2 I think)...
assigned it to slot 16.. (Instructions implied it would automatically find slot 16???)
Also had to input the ID number..(Not indicated in the instructions)...

I have an 18MZ...not WC...

HELP!!!

So you re-registered the sensor? I've also found that it is good practice to re-link the TX/RX after adding new sensors. And what the heck do you need airspeed for? See how slow you're hovering?

I did a "Register" with the sensor powered up and plugged into Tx.
This put the sensor ID # next to the next available slot. The slot is blank though.... Select the slot, choose True Airspeed, close and re-enter the TAS ID... unplug battery and TAS from Tx and plug into Rx... power up the Rx and TAS shows an airspeed!!!
I next "Registered" an optical RPM sensor.... plugged a simple "Y" connector into Sbus2 and both telemetry sensors seem to work!!!

Does your transmitter have a badge on the lower left corner that says "T-FHSS/Air"? If so, then yes, you can use any of the sensors as long as you use a T-FHSS receiver.

This is good but I cannot find how to do it in the manual on both transmiter and sensor. Can you please instruct me how?

DO you have the T6K as shown in the photo above?
Do you have T-FHSS receiver such as the R3008SB?
Page 75 of the manual should help

I have the T6K V2 as mention in the photo and the R3006SB receiver

From the manual you posted I read page 75 which guided me to page 83 where it states:

"Sensors that can be used with T6K:Futaba SBS-01T/TE, SBS-01RO, SBS-01A/02A, SBS-01C, SBS-01V"

The is no mention on SBS-01TAS

The manual was printed before the TAS sensor was released. ALL current Futaba Telemetry sensors will work if you have the V2 radio and use a T-FHSS received.
