Twice now my T6J has gone to failsafe. With two different Rx's. I know it has gone to failsafe as I have it set up with throttle to idle. Both times recovery to normal operation has come within about 3 seconds. When it happened yesterday, I did a power-down range test and got good reception out 65+ feet. Both times the Tx and Rx batteries were relatively fresh.

What diagnostic steps should I take to work toward determining what is wrong?

First thing is to look at the antenna geometry to make sure you are not getting any blocking of the signal from the TX
