Futaba T7CAP- servo control issues
#1

Hello,
I am dusting off my planes after many years of not flying. I have an Extreme 3D that is controlled by a Futaba T7CAP. I charged the batteries and turned it on to find that the throttle servo just maxes out in one direction and has no control. I tried changing the end points and did nothing. I also changed the servo and receiver that did not help either. Nothing has changed since it was last flown. The only thing that was wrong was the planes battery pack was bad. All other channels work properly.
What am I missing? Thanks in advance

Can't seem to post a pic. I found the throttle cut and it is on SW A, off and at 21%. It changes nothing by turning it off or on.
To clarify, my throttle has no affect until it is about 7/8 throttle (almost wide open). At that point, it maxes out the servo in one direction until I take it down away from that point.

All good ideas. It may be that the throttle stick pot is bad after sitting for a long time.
Also, please recall this is not an open discussion forum. This is the vendor only forum. Please refrain from posting here. Thanks.

You posted the original question. That is perfectly fine. It was all the other responses that should not have posted. There is an open discussion section under the radio forum where anyone can post answers.

I suggest setting a new model and testing the throttle. This will make sure some odd mixing is not active. I still think a bad pot on the throttle stick might be the cause after the TX sat inactive for a ong time.

I reset the model and the throttle did the same thing, only in reverse.
How can a pot go bad by sitting. I have many transmitters and have never had an issue. Many are much older than this one.

Is the throttle channel set the same and not reverse to the original model? A pot can go bad by sitting for a long time by corrosion building in it. Constant use/movement slows/stops that from happening.

Thanks. I sent an email to Futaba but have not heard back. I will look into the other one.
I also tried using a totally different transmitter (swapping crystals) and it did the same thing.

Honestly since this happens with multiple transmitters, different receivers and different servos I am at a total loss. Have you tried a whole new model with no programming in it other than channel assignments?
