14MZ at the XFC?
I did some investigation and found that none of the competitors at the XFC who used the 14MZ transmitter were using the G-3 receivers. How do you explain this?

RE: 14MZ at the XFC?
I can't explain it, other than the cost.
Even as a Team Pilot, I only have one plane outfitted with the 5014, my primary IMAC Dalton 260. I have around 350-400 trouble free flights on it in the last year.

RE: 14MZ at the XFC?
I think I have a better explaination...
The first batch of G3 's were causing slam dunks !
The antena's were shortened, tuned, and solved the problem.
I am not making this up, but I doubt Futaba wants to replace airplanes,
so I don't think they will tell you.
If I am wrong, why did they make the change?

Jason Krause's reply:
"My crash at the XFC and the Tree incident
My crash at the XFC was pilot error…that seemed to be completely obvious to everyone who witnessed it. That helicopter was fixed and fly’s fine now with the same radio gear.
The Tree incident was somewhat funny and stupid on my part but it involved a different helicopter and happened while diagnosing a problem. I had replaced the G3 receiver to determine if the old one was in fact causing the problem. It was NOT the receiver and the original one is back in that heli and working fine.
It seems the tree story was told to someone then it was modified slightly and now for some reason it has something to do with my XFC crash.
