Default I lost an inch...

[]The tip of my receiver antenna got stuck in the drawer when I closed it and it resulted in loss of an inch of the antenna wire. I measured the remainder and I have 92 cm/36 inches left. the receiver is working perfectly, but do I get in trouble missing this 1,5 inch of the wire??Can you give me your opinion please?? It is a R127 receiver.

Hi dutchalltheway,

While you may not notice any problems at the moment, you should always repair this by replacing the whole antenna. It is not recommended to simply try soldering a piece to the end as this could affect your range.

You can order a new antenna and solder this on yourself, or you would want to look for 24 gauge multistrand wire, and the length will be approximately 39 1/2" .

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Sincerely,

I have also lost about an inch, but in the middle. What length should it be in the UK (on 35Mhz)

You'll have to check with Ripmax, the Futaba distributor for the U.K. We'd not know what's needed for 35MHz, since it's not used here.
