Default Throttle Failsafe??

I was told by a leading gasoline manufacturer that I had a throttle failsafe situation recently. They say it was caused by a momentary voltage drop.

I was flying in knife edge at full power when the engine went to idle and stayed there with no effect from the stick movement. All other control inputs were effective?!

Is this possible????? I am flying an older 9C trasmitter with the newer 9 channel PCM rx.

Your help is greatly appreciated in this matter.

Sounds plausible. What happened to the rudder input ? I would think that if it went into failsafe mode, the rudder would neutralize also.

Default RE: Throttle Failsafe??

Throttle failsafe happens when the battery voltage gets too low. This can happen when you simply fly too long, or you have very powerful high-current servos working hard. They pull a lot of current from the battery pack, which causes a voltage drop. If the drop's low enough, the receiver activates the battery failsafe, which puts the throttle to low. You must then move the throttle stick to idle and it will reset and work until the next time you get a battery failsafe activation.

Battery failsafe is in the receiver.
