Default RE: changing modes on 14 mz

A correctly-done mode change of the 14MZ does take a bit of work. There are a few hardware bits to be moved, the programming is changed to reflect the mode change, and then the sticks are re-calibrated. This has the transmitter sending out the channels in the proper order when you set up the defaults. The only thing that's "easy" is moving the switches around from the Mode II to the Mode I configuration.

Among the hardware bits to move are not just the ratchet and centering spring for the elevator and throttle channels. You have to partially disassemble the sticks to move a throw stopper that goes on the throttle stick. That is for when you use heli mixes...you don't over-drive the throttle and pitch servos when you move the stick...they're mixed and could over-drive.
