Default 3 Rates for 10C?

You did'nt like the way I worded this before so I will try it a little differently.

The Futaba 9C has the ability to have their 2-position rate switches (airlon, elevator, and rudder) changed out for 3-position switches. Does the 10C share this configuration; is it's circuitry similar to the 9C in this respect?

If you would like to send your 10C into our service center, we will change out your 2 position switches for you to the 3-position switches.

This is an interesting question, and while we are on this subject, I have a follow-up... If one was to send it in and have switches changed to 3-position, would the software side of the 10C recognize the change. My curiosity is in respect to the 3-pos switch we currently have on the 10C, the software automatically recognizes that you have (ex. moved flaps to a 3-pos. switch) changed the assignment of the switch to a 3-pos. from, say, a knob. Will this change in replacing other 2-pos. switches do the same w/ respect to the assignment automatically recognized as a 3-pos. selection/feature/capability?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Don,

Yes, we have the capability here in the Service center of formatting the software to recognize the changes in the switch. This is why a customer must send this into us to have this done.

Krysta,

Thank you very much for your timely and excellent response! That is awesome that it can be done to the s/w as well as h/w and I will probably be doing the same as hilleyja (i.e. sending in to Futaba Service for the change/upgrade. I would hope Futaba's marketing group is onto this as well, since it nay be a feature in which your competition can not meet !!!

Again, thank you so much for your help... and I LOVE my 10C !

Fond Regards,

- Don
