I recently sent my 9C to hobby services for a "post season" check up and also reported that I was having intermittant range issues. Would the technician have checked the solder joints of the module pins during this type of check out? I continue to have problems and have read several reports of the module pins being the culprit.

The report that I received back stated that they replaced a capacitor but did not specific state that they checked the module pins.

The 9C never had any difficulties with the module pins. The early 8U transmitters are the ones that had the update to make the module pins stronger. The only time we've seen a 9C with troublesome module pins were those units that had been physically damaged, such as by a drop, or by some other kind of impact.

However, my actual question remains. In the course of a normal post season check out, would the module pins solder joints be inspected?
