2 rc planes on the same Futaba 6xas TX
Hi
I have question regarding my Futaba radio system
I am trying to fly two rc planes on the same Futaba 6xas Transmitter
Current situation is:
1 TX freq 72.XXX
Plane A with receiver freq 72.XXX
Plane B no receiver
I understand I need to get: Additional receiver for Plane B with battery servos etc
2: crystal of the same frequency (72.XXX)
6XAS manual http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/6xas-hs-manual.pdf page 42 says
"The COPY function is used to copy the current model data into another model memory."
Is copy setting the correct way to control 2 rc planes?
Thank you!

When you use the COPY function, you will create a second model identical to the main one you just copied. People will do this to have a base model and then they will change individual settings and rates to "tweak" the second aircraft.
If both your planes are the same you can do this, but you will need to remember that servo positions and linkages are going to be slightly off between both aircraft and you will need to make changes to the second model to account for this.

Edited to take out underlines.

Hi Sharon,
Yes, just set each up independently.
Set model 1 as plane "A" ( or whatever you name it) and go through all settings.
The select model 2, name it another name and again go through all the settings.
If you are worried that one will be PPM and the other on PCM, you do not need to worry, the transmitter's memory will keep that data also for you.
