12z programming

I have my nose gear on Aux 2 CH 10 and rudder on Ch 5. these are linked together. I also have the nose gear separately on LD knob to be able to adjust it when I'm taxiing. I have the gear up/down switch on SE. What I want to do is turn off the nose gear servo when I take the gear up. I don't want that front servo operational in flight. I can't figure out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

You need to use a condition. Set the condition to turn on when the gear is in the up position. Turn on the condition. Go into the Model Menu and then the AFR section. Go to the nosegear steering channel. Set it to "Single". Adjust Rate A and Rate B to 0%. This will give you a flat, horizontal line. Now, when you raise the gear, the nosewheel will center and remain there no matter how you move the rudder. When you lower the gear, the original endpoint setting will take over.

gotta love the power of a radio that allows programming with conditions.

Thanks Bax but for some reason it did not work. I have a rudder to Aux2(nose gear) mix. Aux 2 is ch 10 and I have assigned control on LD with no (null) trim. Do I need to create a second condition? Because in condition 1 when I go to AFR menu for Aux 2 and when I move the rudder stick on the radio I don't see the graph moving. It will only move if I turn LD thus Adjusting Rate A and B does not do anything but to stop the entire Rudder to Aux2(nose gear) mix.

Sorry still trying to figure out this radio.

Ahhh... You don't need to use a mix. Just name an additional channel as nosegear steering and put its control on the rudder stick. Now, you can adjust the amount of travel the nosegear has and you don't need to program a mix. Then, the condition will work nicely.

Thanks Bax, that did the trick. I used the trim as LD knob and I can adjust the nose gear while taxiing. You can accomplish the same thing on this radio several different ways. It's versatile but at the same time you need to think like a computer programmer (which I'm not.)

Thank you again.
