8FG Trainer problem with 4VF student

I have been using a 8fg as instructor and a 4vf as student for a helicopter. The 8fg is set up in heli swash type H-1. The ELV, AIL, RUD, THR, and PIT are set to FUNC, RATE=100%. When looking at the servo monitor screen, with the trainer switch one, when I move the cyclic and rudder on the the 4vf the servo travels to +/-100% as expected. When I move the throttle the servo monitor screen displays on throttle as expected, however for pitch it only goes to from -100% to about +60%. When the Instructor is controlling pitch the servo monitor shows full travel +/-100%. When I fly the heli with the student transmitter, I can't get full positive pitch...

RE: 8FG Trainer problem with 4VF student

I would check the trim on the 4VF. If this is not centered it will change the amount of your throw more to one side.
