9CAP Flapperons

This is for a tower Uproar ARF

Tx 9CAP Super with campac Rx Fut R-148DP

Once I have the Flapperon active ch 1 + 6 Ch six is set to VR-D and elv to flap mix switchable on/off

The problem is that I have no flap only control from VR-D I tried other VR same no flap only movement.

What did I do wrong?

thanks Bob

We're not sure what you're asking about. When you set up the flaperon mixer, the VR control will then give you flaps down when turned one way from center, and both ailerons up when turned the other way. We're not sure what you mean by "flaps only" control. Would you please clarify this for us?

Thanks,

Using channels 1 & 6

The Vr-D does not work when flapperons are ACTive I tried all Vr-A, B, C, D, E,

The Vr-D does work when flapperons are INactive on ch 6 normal flap

I tried all Vr-A, B, C, D, E, tx does beep when pot is centered

the RATE in the flapperon mix screen, all are 100%: Ail1 ail2 flp1 flp2

In other words NO flap control with flaperon mix ACTive.

I will try my two other 9CAP TX this weekend.

Second 9CAP transmitter has the same problem...

I have no direct control of the flaps in flaperon mode

OK. FLAPERON is for use where you have one aileron on each wing, only. When you move the flap switch/lever, then the ailerons will move together as flaps or spoilerons, depending upon which way they deflect. The Flaperon mixer will not move flaps, too. If you have a wing with one flap and one aileron on each side, then the Flaperon mixer will only affect the ailerons, and have nothing to do with the flaps. There is nothing wrong with your transmitters. If you want the ailerons to droop when you apply flaps, then you need to put the flap channel on the same control you're using for flaperons, or you use two pmixes, with one having flaps as master and aileron1 as slave, and the second mix has flaps as master and aileron2 as slave. Now the ailerons will droop when you move the flap control.

My plane is a Tower Uproar it has ONE servo in each wing panel to drive the large aileron (not split)
left wing ch 1.... right wing ch 6

VR-D is set to ch 6 (typical flap channel)

flapperon MIX ACTive

Ailerons work properly but FLAPS do not droop or move in any direction in response to Vr-D
Yet when the elevator to flap mix is activated by a designated switch (H) the ailerons both move properly in respect to elevator input.

RE: 9CAP Flapperons

You have to adjust the Flap Trim amount in order to get flap movement.
