Receiver voltage
I purchased some high voltage digital servos for an upcoming 3D aircraft build. I wanted to get away from using a voltage regulatoron my Lipo receiver battery; my local hobby store told me I could use the battery unregulated as long as I have high voltage servos. Looking through my receiver literature, it shows 4.8 to 6 volt input. I use 6008HS receivers with an 8FG radio. Can I use a high voltage receiver, or do I need to stick to a regulator?
Thank you for your help Scott |
RE: Receiver voltage
The receiver will work fine with 2-cell Lithium battery packs plugged directly into them. Your servos are the items that are sensitive to the voltage applied.

RE: Receiver voltage
Great
Thanks for the information and the quick response. If I read your answer correctly my 6008 receiver will operate on a 2 cell lithium pack as well. is this the case, or is it only the high voltage receivers? Thank you again Scott |
