I am having trouble using a 6EX and a 6J in a training system.

I purchased the correct cable.

The 6J is the master transmitter and is used by the instructor.

The 6EX is being used as the buddy box and is used by the student.

I went though the 6J training menus and set up the transmitter for training mode and set all of the 1st four channels for default.

When I plug the 2 systems together all I get is channel 1 to respond when the trainer switch is active on the 6J.

The only thing I have not done is set the transmitter to SFHSS mode.

Any suggestions on what could be wrong.

Please make sure you have the trainer system in the instructor's transmitter set properly. You can turn off all the different channels so that the student will have control on only the selected channels. Check the trainer function in the instructor's transmitter carefully.

Thank you for your reply. I done all that you suggest 3 or 4 times. But I will do it again.

Please advise if you have to have the 6J in SFHSS mode to use as a trainer.
