Aurora 9 charger

Do all of the Hitec Aurora 9 and Aurora 9X chargers come with the really stiff wires on them? The older Hitec chargers with the larger size plugs on the transmitter charging lead had very soft, flexible wires, but my Aurora 9 has really stiff wires on the charging leads and it is maddening.
