T4YF-2.4G Linking Problems

Hi,

I have 2 T4YF-2.4G TX's and 2 R2004GF RX's (came with the TX's) but am unable to link either, tried cross matching. When I press & hold the link switch I get a flashing red light. I have held it as close as I can, at a distance < 1m and have turned of home router. All makes no difference. Any ideas before I find the bin. Many thanks.

Sounds like you are doing it correctly. To be clear, with both the TX and RX on if the the two are not linked the RX LED should blink green. If it is solid red (again with the TX on) then the TX is not emitting RF.

Also, When I link I hold the Link button on the RX until the LED blinks red a couple of times then release it. It should go solid green then.

Also, make sure both TX and RX batteries are near full charge. Nearly depleted batteries can cause issues as well.

See page 9 on the manual

Thanks.
With the TX and RX on I have a solid red, the batteries are good. Page 9 table is no use as it does not mention a flashing red. When I link (and hold) all I get is a flashing red which is not mentioned in the table. Are there any other issues as it is odd that 2 independent sets do not link?

So, when you turn on both the TX and RX (not trying to link, just turn them both on) the LED on the RX blinks red, is that correct?

When you try to link the LED blinks red, what happens when you release it?

Also, is this a new radio or used?

No, when I turn them on both Rx's are constant red, when I try to link they just flash red even when link button is released. One set is new the other has worked fine in the past (over a year ago).

If you are seeing a solid red LED on the RX when the TX is turned on then this means the TX is not emitting and RF signal

Right, so what could be the cause in 2 independent sets, one new and one that worked before. Are they both scrap now?

Are you saying you have two separate transmitters, or two receivers?

Hi,
I have 2 complete sets-

1st set - TX and RX a couple of years old that worked perfectly well, not used for over a year.

2nd - TX and RX brand new bought over a year ago, just out of box now ( because 1st did not work ).

Well, what you describe means only one thing. Neither transmitter is broadcasting RF. It is hard to believe that both have failed the same way.

What do the two LEDs on the TX look like when the TX is on?
