Broken Case

I have a Futaba 8uaps transmitter that has taken a dive.

the only damage is one of the screws that connect the two case halves together has broken out of the top and bottom of the case. (as looking at back of radio it is bottom right screw)

any suggestions on how to fix this? I have the broken parts, should I just CA or epoxy them back where they go and bo done with it? Can you buy cases to replace broken cases?

thanks

Big Al

RE: Broken Case

Hi Big Al,

We would not recommend gluing the halves as you may need service on this at sometime and both cases would need to be broken apart to do even a simple repair.

You can purchase the case halves through your local Great Planes authorized hobby store. The part numbers and retail prices are:

HSP50210 1M10E00703 FRONT CASE 8U $5.00
HSP50380 1M10E04102 BACK CASE 8US 3.50

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
