7C Aribrake switch assignement

Trying to figure it out: I want Airbrake function to be on switch "B" (large one on left upper front of radio face).

Manual mentions assigning switch to any function but this one I can not find ?

Any help appreciated.

RE: 7C Aribrake switch assignement

Hi Indy,

The 7C does not have the ability of switch assignment as some radios do. While you may pick which switch you would like to use for channels 5 and 7 in the parameters screen, and also when setting up a Pmix, you cannot do this just when activating Airbrake.

If you must use a different switch for this function, then you will need to go into a Pmix, set this up and then you may assign which ever switch you would like for this.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

RE: 7C Aribrake switch assignement

Hi Krysta,

Not sure that I understand: my previous radio was FF6 which had large switch on front upper right side which was used for
airbrake (makes sense) and dual rates were on separate switches.

It does not make sense to me to use triple rate switch E on 7C to use it as airbrake. Why not simply use switch B (large one on front upper right side above throttle)
for this ?

Can this be rectified ? My radio is TZ7CP with top left switch which is 3-position and top right is spring loaded.

RE: 7C Aribrake switch assignement

Anything ? Come on people.....

Just to add some more: usual airbrake assignement is to 3-way switch, so I can either use triple rates or airbrake.
Even if I do agree on using 3-way switch for dual rate+airbrake this is dangerous as it is possible to flick from dual
rate to airbrake....
