Can all program data from 9C be transferred to 9C Super?
 

I have a regular 9C transmitter with about a dozen models in it. I also just got the newer 9C Super which has a few extra features for helis/planes/gliders. Question is can I transfer all my models and data safely over to the 9C Super from the older 9C without any issues? Will all data, functions and programming for each model remain intact and work correctly on the new 9C Super or are there known issues I need to look out for?

Yep its a one way conversion. You copy the models to the campaq from the 9C

On the Super

Hold down MODE and END buttons while turning on the TX.

Select "T9C-Pac>Update" by using the cursor up/down button.
Press and hold the wheel for 1 second to start data conversion.

You can't use the converted compaq in a standard 9c again. I just stuck the campaq that came with the super in the 9c and formatted it. If you have more than 6 models to convert you can copy them to the transmitter memory and put the campaq back in the 9c, format it and do the process over again.

How many models does the compaq hold?
Is it still 6 models?

Are there any known issues though since the programming in both radios is not identical? Sometimes when features are added to the newer radios there exist some issues with legacy programming on previous versions. Just want to be 100% sure that no 9C data gets lost or munged as a result of the newer features/programming on the 9C super

I had 2 different helicopters, an Extra 300, a P-51 Mustang and a full house sailplane and did not have any problems. I went back over each model one by one looking for problems and didn't find any.


Yes 6 models, the super has 2 more models in its internal memory I believe.

You can use a CamPac to transfer information from a 9C to a 9C Super, but not the other way around. The 9C won't recognize the 9C Super storage file and will ask if you want the CamPac formatted. If you do that, you've lost on information on the CamPac.
