Buddy boxes and functions.
 

I use a Futaba 9CAP as the master transmitter and another Futaba transmitter as a buddy box.
I always wonder what are the functions available to the student from the master and which are not.
For example... dual rates, exponential, end point, etc.
Is already obvious that trim functions and servo reversing have to be set also at the student's transmitter to coordinate both transmitters.

LOL Most radios the trainer function the student box has to do all the work. On your 9c radio and my 7c little brother radio you can even fly a multi channel planes on a basic 4 channel buddy box setting up the trainer function to use all of or none of the master radio programing depending on what you program them to be able to use.

I wish all students would get the 9C since the trainer function is so "powerful". I think if you go into the trainer menu it will all become crystal clear.

For each channel you'll be able to select FUNC, INH, MIX (forgive me if I got the exact symbols wrong), meaning that particular channel is functional, inhibited, or mixed respectively on the student's box. The difference between FUNC and MIX is that in the latter all of the mixes, dual rates, expo are carried over to the slave (neat huh?), FUNC just enables the channel w/o mixes (ie like most buddy boxes).

One thing to remember is to enable the trainer function for it is off by default, and resets itself to off under certain circumstances.

Bax and Krysta usually are pretty good in answering, however you may have gotten them on a bad day since it was after our 4th of July holidays. Also, when you posted your second message, that kinda killed the chance for an answer. You'll see in a lot of posts that they usually scan for questions that have no replies.

We're sorry that we didn't get back to you in the day and a half before you made your second posting. We can't always get to replies right away. Putting a second posting removes the zero from the number of replies column. That's how we know a reply has not been made. We look for the zeroes. Once it's gone, we assume we've replied.
