9CAF Trainer Function

Hi
I'm teaching my son to fly and find that I have to check the trainer function every time. Sometimes it has stayed assigned but most of the time I have to go into the programming and enable it. Is this normal? I would have thought that the trainer function enabling would not change just because I've turned off the transmitter between flights.
Thanks
Sam

That seems to be a common thing with the 9C. It has been discussed quite a bit lately on other threads. Search for
"9C Flip Flop"

RE: 9CAF Trainer Function

Hi Sam,

No, this will always shut off when you turn your transmitter off, it is a built in safeguard in the transmitter. This is done so that if you were not training but just flying by yourself and you did not know it was enabled, and accidently hit the switch, you would lose control of your plane.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Sincerely,
Krysta
