9C or ?

Hi,
My old 8UAP has finally given it up and I need a new radio.
Anything new coming along from Futaba in the price range
of the 9C? Or do I just need to get the 9C?
Thanks for any info.
Jerry

RE: 9C or ?

the 9c super would be a painless replcement for the 8u series. more functions and more controls (sliders and switches) but it retains the basic 8u concept. 9c programming is simple and intuitive, where the 8u is laborious with its arcane menus and many programming switches. besides, the 8u receiver(s) are 100% compatible (actually the same). price is right and you will understand the 9c's operations immediatley.

if i were to sell all i have and replace with something else it would be the JR 9303 which has "trim modes", but that would require replacing all the recivers as well - kinda pricey.

I replaced my 8U with a 9C Super. I love the radio. To much money to swap rec'vrs and transmitter to go JR.

I agree with you that swapping out the 8U with the 9C was the cheapest and fastest way to go - totally painless - just change the transmitter! And the 9C's features were such an improvement!

I would like to change my 7C for a 9 so that I can add 'gliders',but too expensive so I will probably add the Optic 6 set up instead. I am a little miffed that I sent the 7 back for a check, not realising that Ripmax would not acknowledge receipt and have a long Xmas break, that they did not mention when I set it back

Futaba doesn't tell us of future development plans. Right now, the replacement for an 8U system is the 9C. The alternative is to go with the 7C or move 'way up to the 14MZ.
