9CAP Problems

Help,

I have lost my 4th plane on this Transmitter.

This was the first flight since having it checked out (locally)(not with Futaba)
Report from local reapir person was all is now fine.

He did find a few glitches and repaired them.

I range tested the xmitter to about 100 feet, with no glitches.

So Off I go.

10 minutes into my first flight (electric glider/oldie), the plane simply rolled over, added throttle and died.
I was up about 150 ft, and could nothing but watch as my favorite plane went in.

This is the same way I lost my last plane (roll right, half throttle, straight down)

All 4 planes were flying on different receivers (futaba and hitec).

Any suggestions would be helpful, prior to just shipping it back to Futaba to have them look at it.

Thanks,

Dave

RE: 9CAP Problems

The first thing I would do is send it back to Futaba for inspection and repair. Lost 4 planes...wow. I use the same transmitter and have never had a problem. Send that thing back.

More information is needed.
What is/was the battery condition when it failed?
Following the crash, did the equipment work. (post crash check)
Was the pack in the plane OK?
Is there a seperate pack for the radio and motor?

RE: 9CAP Problems

Battery:
Transmitter: Excellent Shape
Airplane E-tec 1200 mah 11.1v, freshly charged. Excellent Condition
Following crash, equipment worked for a few minutes then nothing.
I beleive that the ESC died with the Battery at Crash
No Seperate Battery pac for power and receiver.
Battery looks slightly damaged, but I am not going to charge it again.

RE: 9CAP Problems

From what you are describing it could be a number of things. We of course are going to recommend that you send this in to us here at the repair center, along with a copy of the letter that you sent to the other repair center and a list of the work that they did to this transmitter.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
