6EX fasst buddy box setup

I bought 2 6ex 2.4GHz FASST boxes for my 2 kids. I also got the connector cable for the transmitter. When I hook the cable up and switch the master on (with the slave off), I am not able to control the plane with the slave box at all, no matter in what position I hold the trainer switch on the master box. Master always controls the plane. The slave box is "lit" up, but the control input has no consequence on the palne. What am I missing???
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andreas

Did you turn on the Trainer function in the transmitter you want to use as the master? Please see page 15 in the manual.

Hi Bill,

thanks for this very valuable piece of information. That is exactly what happened. Maybe you could indert that info also on pg. 33 of the manual. I looked in the index for the buddy box set up and it referred me to pg 33, and there is no mention of that.
Great and fast advice, I appreciate your quick help.

With best regards,
Andreas ;)

RE: 6EX fasst buddy box setup

Watched the video, maybe you should try an actual set-up with the two Tx connected by a trainer cord and a master Rx and servos to verify the function. It might be that the trainer function in the 7c only enable when connection is established..

RE: 6EX fasst buddy box setup

thanks for replying

that was the first thing I try just like the book says and I thing is just like you say, the buddy box have to be connected for the trainer program to activated butstill doesn't work so Itry it the other way around using the SKYSPORT T4YF as the master and the T7C as buddy box and when everithing is connected the SKYSPORT control the servos just fine but when i hit the trainer switch the servos stop responding to de controls (like it shuold be) but the T7C does no control them either so I think there may be some thing wrong with the T7C trainer connection hole or output
