12ZAP Updates

I bought a 12ZAP radio from tower hobbies and just received it last saturday. It is the 2048 PCM version. I wanted to know if this radio needs any updates for PCM modulation or if the updates are already in it.
I don´t know if pcm needs updates, I know I´ll have to update if I go to 2.4 fasst with this one and for right now I will use it in pcm, but I wanted to make sure.

Your transmitter should have the FASST programming in it. You can access the FASST programming only when you have the TM-14 FASST module installed. If you have a 72 MHz or other module installed, then you cannot access the FASST setting. There are no updates required for PCM operation, you just select the type of modulation in the frequency section of the Linkage Menu. "PCM G3" is the PCM2048 modulation.
