trim lever question

hi, i have a futaba 7cap set up for airplane functions (ppm) the radio is around 2 yrs. old and have never had a problem with it. i have 9 models programmed into it,just recently i was programming # 10 and noticed that when i tried to change the trim with the aileron trim lever it would not move to the right unless i held it for 15-20 sec. then it would move. when i move it to the left it would function like it should, instantly. all the other trim levers work fine. it also does not matter what model # i am on it does the same thing.i am guessing that maybe it is that switch or is it more complicated and in the computer brain itself. i have been reading the manual thinking i might be missing something, hate to send it in for repair for something stupid on my part. i was also wondering if it goes in for repairs do i end up losing all the diff. model memorys? what a bummer!! sure hope not.

RE: trim lever question

I would say that it is the trim switch if all the other models do the same. I also don't think the shop would mess up the other setting you have as i sent them my transmitter for repair and all setting wre not altered.

RE: trim lever question

It sounds like a bad trim switch. You should send the transmitter to the service center to get it repaired.

If the transmitter needs a full recalibration, then models in the transmitter's memory will be lost. Unfortunately, with the 7C, there's no way to save the model memories to an external memory card.
