Servo Compatibility

I'm just getting back in the hobby after taking several years off and need to get schooled on the 2.4 Ghz systems. Is there a chart available to let me know which servos are compatible with these new systems? More specifically, can the 3004 servos be used with a 2.4 Ghz system?

Thanks,
Ted

No problem at all.

The servo is not going to care if you are using 72Mhz, 75Mhz or 2.4Ghz.

The only thing you need to be concerned about is if you are using HRS as you must use Digital servos. HRS is a PPM High Speed signal that is not compatible with analog servos.

what is HRS?

RE: Servo Compatibility

Hi-Response is made for digital servos only. If any standard analog is attempted to operate in Hi-Response mode, the servo will make a louder than normal noise and will eventually burn up.

Any standard analog servo needs to be operated in Normal Response mode only. It is recommended that customers read the manuals that come with the systems on how to change between Hi-Response and Normal Response modes, depending on servos installed.

RE: Servo Compatibility

does that mean that you do not mix analog and digital servos?

RE: Servo Compatibility

You can. It is when the receiver has a special high-speed mode, such as the new R6014HS and R6008HS receivers, and the HRS receivers for R/C cars. When you have them set for high-speed mode, then only digital servos can be used.
