how to connect twin elevators
 

I am so FRUSTRATED!I have on numerous occasions tried to electronically connect separate elevators to work together in the same direction.I have a 9C radio and am using a futaba receiver.the plane happens to be a hanger 9 funtana 60-90.because I never figured out the steps I used a y harness with a servo reverser.I got to the field yesterday and did a flight check and when the elevator was operated the right elevator would continue to move ever so slow after I stopped moving the stick.I came home and removed the servo(hitec645mg) and put it in my rudder and the problem still occurred.a fellow flyer thought maybe my potenitmeter was going bad so I put in another servo and no luck so we surmised it was likely the servo reserver itself and that's when the fun began.I tried to connect the two elevator servos directly in separate channels and have gotten very very frustrated so much I want to get rid of the radio.I even at one point bought the 9C handbook and still cannot get it right I do connect the wing aileron servos electronically using 1 and 6.I assumed channels 2 and 7 would operate similarily for elevators.in the book it talks about channel 8 but my receiver an expensive slimline type only shows 1-7 and the tx similarily and I know 9 is not really a channel.HELP HELP!!!is there a good servo reserver to use or can someone tell what I am doing wrong. dennis

Normally, you'd use the Ailevator function of the transmitter. Which receiver are you trying to use?

happ[ly I finally figured it all out!the whole thing was like a light being turned on.once I understood the process and the key controls it just clicked.no more stupid y harnesses.see even a 60 year old aministrator can learn ,,now I can ejoy different models with split elevators.

Hi, would you be able to explain how you did get it to work? I am in the same situation with a 9c & a Showtime50 w/ split elevators, have the servo reverser in it now but would like to eliminate it. I believe I lost my Bulldog last year do to another reverser I had in that, but not 100% sure. Thanks for the help in advance.

there is a thread I used to do it and will have to look for it and given I am ona beach in NC it will have to wait but let me look later as I copied it down and its somewhere on my bech back north.
