Default Exhuast extension performance question

question for the engine experts. I have a zenoah gt-80 going into a ziroli sbd duantless. I would really like to have the exhuast exit from the scale locations. I have mocked up this tailpipe using 3/4 inch copper pipe which is about 6 to 7 inches long with a couple of 90 degree bends. the inside diameter is slightly larger than the existing pipe which is about 1/2 inch.

Will this create any power loss, or overheating or any other problems that, I need to consider?

here are a couple of pics to show what I'm thinking.

thanks Trevor

The heat will concentrate at the 90 degree bends, it may get hot enough to melt the solder and it will come apart. Get rid of the stock mufflers, they rob you of power anyway, make a stainless header that's one piece bent correctly to exit in the scale location. If you can't do it yourself, call Jtec and give them your dimensions they'll make you whatever you want.

What you have going there is too many tight bends and power sucking mufflers.

agreed, Stinger (exhaust pipe exit) length can greatly affect the way an exhaust works. 90 deg bends are never good and the extra length can cause overheating to the engine itself. not saying dont experiment with it - but moniter heads temps carefully.
