Hi Guy's
Just made the jump from glow and now have one each of the Above.
Both start+run ok ish.
The 50 seems slightly more powerful but judging by the plug slightly rich
obviously I need to have a 'tinker'..
What do you genius' advise, are the needle settings on the DLusa site
a good starting point (1.5 low end and 1.75 high end) for both the
50 and the 55 and which do you set first?
Cheers
John

John, start in 1.5 both, Get your screwdriver, run it up to full throttle, lean out (clockwise) the high needle until you hear the engine drop in RPM slightly, then richen the high needle (counterclockwise) until the engine drops in RPM slightly, make a mental note of the position of the needle when the engine drops in RPM on both the lean and rich side of peak RPM. You will notice that there is a range of roughly 1/4 turn of the high speed needle that the engine holds peak RPM. .
After the high speed is adjusted throttle back to a lowest reliable idle. Adjust the low speed needle the same way you did the high speed needle. As you lean out the low speed needle the engine idle rpm will increase, this is fine and normal but I bring it back down after it has climbed a few hundred RPM. You will also want to set the low needle very close to where the engine drops RPM on the rich side for the best transition.
If the engine stumbles, sputters, and puffs some smoke out when you advance the throttle that means the low is a little rich, lean it 1/8 turn and try again. If it sounds like you turned off the ignition or dies, that is to lean, richen it 1/8 turn and try again.
All info provided by "Jody" the gasser master lol.

Sorry John, I recognize that tuning instruction almostword for word as what I sent him in an email quite some time ago.
