Default New engines coming out from MVVS

All,

MVVS have announced the development of two new engines, a 30cc and also a 320cc

Stated performance of the 30cc is 9100 - 9200RPM on an APC 18x6W with a tuned pipe and 8200-8300 on the standard exhaust
The 320cc is stated to spin a 32x10 at 6700RPM and a 34x12 at 5700RPM on standard exhaust and higher on canisters that are under development

Release date is still unclear but should be this year

MVVS makes very good engines. I have four of their glow engines on a pair of twins and a 35 cc gas on a GeeBee. Strong performance and zero running issues.

Pe, are you going to chime in on this?

where you been Willis, I have owned that MVVS 35 for like 5 years now, it is a great little Engine, with a Bisson Inverted Side Muffler it will twist a 3W 20x8 at 7200 tuned for flight,,
MVVS is now making a 40cc with the same case..

I too had my 35 in a GeeBee Y,, it is a great combO..

Jim

The new 30cc is not a variation of the 35cc (which formed the basis of the 40cc). It is probably a variation of the 26cc which will no doubt make it one of the best power to weight ratios of the "30cc size range".

The 320cc in a Glider tug? Wow - that will launch a whole fleet of very large gliders There are full sized planes that fly people around with less CC's than that.

I'm thinking of a 50% Edge for the same engine. I think I need to learn what that baby's going to sell for.

I am also trying to find out that exact same info. I have been sent the initial dimensions and weight but the prices are unknown to me at this stage.

I was considering a 342cc of my other favorite brand of large engines for the Yak. but then this came along. and tempted me (I know - I am just too easy to be tempted sometimes - come to think of it, that is why the 50%'er is coming my way )

I also have a couple of airframes that will be losing the last of my existing "chinese 28cc engines" when the 30cc arrives. (Heck, I can only have so many 3W 28's in my fleet - gotta have some other brands to fly too )

Hoping for 30cc rear carb. I would love to replace my 26 with it.

The kicker is the four should have better porting than the 342 at similar or less weight. The 342 is good but there are some things about an MVVS that are always better.

Why they never make 4 stroke engine ? Roto is one step before MVVS. They have already 1 and twin cyl engine 4stroke.
