New MINTOR 33

Stay tuned for updates; I don't know this machine...yet.
Copied from the site:
""""""""Mintor srl, was born as a workshop of high precision mechanics working.
Our decades-long activity in high level working in many different industrial sectors and especially our great passion for engines and model aircraft construction, hasdriven us, in these last few years, to dedicate part of our activity to the design of engines specific for model aircraft. It has always been our firm belief that, anyone who dedicate time and resources for the model aircraft, must have the chance to find high quality and reliable products on the market.
Following this inspiration, our products are designed and manufactured with the main aim of high performances and reliability.
Actually, we are the only firm, all over the world, to design, produce and assemble all the mechanical components of the enigne here in our premises with manufacture engineering inspired to the best italian motor design and engineering traditions.
The search of the best structural stiffness and weight reduction, has given reason for the realization from a solid block of each particular of the engine using the best alloys, no details are made from fusion!
This technique, surely much more expensive than the traditional ones used by any other manufacturer, added to the use of the most sophisticated CNC machinery, allow to optimize to the highest levels the weight and functionality of any single component in order to obtain a very high level whole.
Anyone who choose a Mintor engine, owns a product made with the attention and meticulousness dedicated to competitions, and above all is sure to have always at his disposal the support of a serious, motivate and competent firm."""""""

The first of a new line of powerful and reliable engines... At the right price!!
Engine 33cc, barrill, spacers, ignition, NGK plug
Price 220 euro
VAT excluded
Engine weight = 910 grams
Ignition weigth = 105 grams
Barrill weight = 58 grams
With barrill, prop Mejzlik 19x8 = 7.700 rpm

Wow! If it runs and lasts as good as it looks move over DLE. I bet a 60 twin is not far off.
if the Mintor 33 beats the DLE30 power/ reliability that means DLE will have to lower their prices if they want to stay in the competition.
Do not ask me why does the Mintor 33 have a very low price, because its brother Mintor 37 does cost almost twice in the States,
the question is: are DLE and MVVS engines overpriced ? YES!
Will DLE lower their prices or will they just make a 40cc twin ? I dont really know but they will lose many customers at least in Europe.. Woww!!

DLE has never been in a race to the bottom of the pack. They have never been the least expensive engine in their class nor do they wish to be. The Mintor still has to perform and prove itself over time, not saying it won't but it still needs to be done. Like all other manufacturers Mintor has had their problems. I'm not dissin the engine, I think their stuff is artwork but I'm a realist, it's a bummer I won't fly a plane unless the cowl is installed.

THE MACHINE IS JUST GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S UNVELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers; G.
PS: clivemc; I HATE YOU!!!! I was supposed to post the first photos of the engine!!!!!!!!
PS 2: clivemc just kiddin...
PS 3: clivemc; I dare you; POST A VIDEO!!!!!!!!

lol put one on a Big Stik!
sure is a nice motor, how much would one cost to my door here in the usa?

I think Top Dog Aviation is the US dealer.

I hope Valley View picks up the line. We know they exist and their support is terrific.
The 33 looks like a winner. The carb is tucked away nicely where it belongs. BUT the proof of the pudding is always in the eating.......I had a 37 in my hands a couple years ago and it was nicely machined, but the odd carb location killed that project. Really liked the 37's header and pipe tho...very light weight and the price was reasonable at around 150

I have to remark the extremely HIGH quelity of the entire engine. It's full CNC alluminium made; very compact and light (weigths just a few grams more than my OS 120 III). Next week I'll start mounting it on the Jamara Extra; I hope soon is running too!!!!
Bad side: There in NO manual nor dedicated box/packaging (should be a problem? Not really, it's just a fact of presentation). But the lack of a manual is a problem for me; I've 20 year of modelling but always glow... I'm completely new to Gas. My first issue: where to plug all those wires not the plug one, the other three)? I just can guess now... Another; how to install the servo to the carb. arm? And the choke (my guess the choke is hand operated) So far i don't see it clearly... help welcome!!!!!
Hope you enjoy the video!!!

The door bell rang a few minutes ago. Outside was the FedEx man with a cardboard box.
Inside the cardboard box was a WOW Mintor33 with muffler and ignition unit, Honda / NGK CM6 spark plug. warranty card from CMCHobbies and an instruction manual.
Clivemc is the SAdistributor for the engines and he has included every bit of paper that a rank beginner could find useful to get the engine up and running and tuning it.
Awesome Clive!!
Iknow SA is a long way from the rest of the world but I have to let y'all know that CMC Hobbies has gone an extra mile on this one.

Now to decide whether the EG Aircraft YAK55SP-Mor wait for the Goldwing RC Racer Edge 540. The GW Sback 300 (the one thats not 4 2) also looks yummy

Anyone have experience of the RedAero MSX-R?

PS; a scan or pdf should be enough

The instruction manual does not have a wiring diagram but perhaps Clive has one. The connections look pretty generic. Its the RcExel ignition so a detailed diagram should be available on the web>

try this one.
