RE: Jody's no longer at VVRC
Much of the way Jody associated with Valley View will remain unchanged. That may include engine repairs. The only real change will be his close personal association with DLE direct. At least that's my understanding.
Although I'm sorry to see what may appear for many as a separation from Valley View, which I do not believe to be the case, I'm quite pleased to see him transitioning to a field where he might have greater challenges while providing specialized expertise to a much larger audience.

RE: Jody's no longer at VVRC
It's true that I, as of last Friday, am no longer employed at VVRC. I have taken advantage of other opportunities that will further my career and better suit the needs of my family and myself at this time.
There is nothing bad about this in any way, Tom, Linda, Tammy, and I all remain close personal friends. For customers of VVRC, nothing will change, same great company, same great people, same great service including my technical expertise when necessary. I will continue to endorse and support VVRC and their customers via email and phone for as long as requests come into my inbox.
I will not be doing engine repair work for VVRC but Tom Denney is very capable, he will be doing warranty and service repair for customers that have purchased their engines from VVRC. All at VVRC will also still have access to my knowledge base if the need arises.
The sky is not falling, nor is VVRC.

Where ever you chose to land, if it deals with people or requires technical expertise, you definitely WILL be successful. Please keep all of us informed, Jody. Without question "jedijody" rules.
From the bottom of my heart, thanks for all you have done for the RC community and for me personally, Jody. Thanks again,

Jody,
I do hope that you keep in touch here on RCU. As you and I have exchanged numerous e-mails, I cannot say enough about your professionalism and going "way above and beyond" what I would consider the norm in helping others (especially me) with what is for most people a hobby for big kids. At least it is with me.
I do not know where you are going or what you will be doing. But I do know that wherever and whatever it is, you are going to make it a better place.
Good luck, and thanks again for all your help,
Pete

Thank you guys very much, I'm touched to hear all your appreciation. I will still be around here in the forums and continue to respond to requests for help and offer my two cents where I feel it may be appropriate.
Don't worry about me loosing my touch, where I'm going I will be doing some of the very same type of work on the same type or similar engines that I've always worked on but at a much higher and more challenging level. It's not in the model hobby industry and I will not have any direct affiliation with any specific engine manufacturer or retail establishment.

RE: Jody's no longer at VVRC
So now it is the guessing game for "Where's Jody"
I heard he had started an enterprise with "Henry"(aka Piston) and Miltonto bring "best of class UAV"engines to us.
Ok, your turn now
Best of luck for the future Jody. You have certainly helped a lot of people get sorted out - Flyers ANDmanufacturers.
