Default What size tank on a DLE55?

Trying to decide on a tank size for me pitts, it comes with a 550cc tank but I want to try one of the rotorflow tanks..

What kind of run time are you getting say out of the 20oz or the 24oz?

Thanks for any help.

I run mine on a 19 oz tank and get about 14-15 minutes of flying with about 1/4 tank remaining. BUT I fly mostly at half to 2/3rds throttle and practically never need to go to full throttle. If you run yours at full throttle, expect maybe 12 minutes, maybe a little less on 19 ozs with enough reserve.

If you want to fly for 20 minutes of mostly full throttle, then I'd suggest a 24 oz tank

Thanks MTK,
I think the 20oz will be more then fine for my set up, won't be going to full throttlevery much either. After 15 minutes I am ready for a break anyway, no need to take an extra 4oz if I wont use it...

16oz water bottle, 3D flying and landing with just over 1/4 tank after a solid 12 to 12.5 mins.

The 16 oz bottle works great after the engine is broken in and the needles are set properly.

Needles set rich and a lot of high throttle flying - you will need a 20 oz bottle.

Agreed Jim, some need the 20oz tank or cut back to 8 to 9 minute flights until the break-in is complete.
