Engine for older H9 89" Taylorcraft.
Hey guys, just got the older H9 Taylorcraft from a friend. He had a rather large electric powerplant on it. I need to know what was the recommended gas engine size for this plane. It needs some repairs so if I figure out the engine size, I can make my front end repairs accordingly. I was thinking somewhere in the 25-30 cc size range would work. Am I right?
Thanks
John

I believe the ready to fly version used a Zenoah G20 and for my taste that would be very under powered.

Thanks guys! I believe this is going to be a super Sunday flyer with a 30 on it. Has anyone tried a G38 on one?
It's got a semisymetrical wing so should be fairly aerobatic at around 15 lbs. I'm lightening it a bit while doing the repairs.
