The OS is a ringed engine with a pistion liner. As I understand, that equates to more power and probably a stronger punch at the low end. Inherently heavier though. Plus the wrap around muffler will make the engine quieter albeit heavier still. You are right about first cost and replacement parts pricing though

Do you mean a cast iron sleeve compared to a lightweight chrome plating right on the aluminum cylinder for the other and lighter engines? I wonder how that could change the power curve any in itself.

Yeah, great looking plane for any 20cc. Much better price than the 3D Hobby Shop Velox but the Velox is the best of the best.
