What gauge of wire are you guys using in the starter?

Do you need a gear pully to remove the prop hub and what size deep socket is needed to removed the prop shaft?

Not usually. The DLE 55 has a straight crank surface (not tapered) with key and most come right of with no more than a few taps from a small hammer applied to a block of wood to the hub.
