Acquired a plane with a ST engine...a 2300, I believe. Have not taken it out yet. It was converted to CH Ignition back late 80's. Owner did not have the ignition module. Can I buy a generic module to replace? This spark plug is much smaller. Help! What are my choices if I want to use this engine?
Thanks,
JJ

Rcexl has 1/8'' spark plugs and ignitions to match.

I believe it would have a 1/4x32 spark plug.

Thanks all. I took the engine out of the plane, and it is actually a ST 3000 with a Walbro Carb and what looks like a 1/4 inch thread spark plug. The aluminum prop drive disk magnet actually bumps the sensor when you turn around by hand after I took the prop off. Not sure why. Is that a problem?
Have not checked on a new ignition unit yet. With this type conversion, can I use my regular 40:1 gas oil mixture as fuel? Any other advice to be aware of?
Thanks guys,
JJ

The sensor needs to be moved back so the magnet doesn't hit it.
Without needle bearings on the rod you are going to need to run 20:1 oil.
